For Performers
The Art 312a is a good general purpose powered speaker system. The titanium horn gives it a lot of 'crack' and its bass output will outperform many 15” speaker systems. It has a bright vocal sound and will project across a room with clarity and good bass response.
It can also handle bass guitar without losing everything else and is light to carry for its power and output.
For the lazy, it has optional infrared remote control.
The Art 312a works very well as a PA box but also has features that make it outstanding for the following:
For DJ's
No need for big heavy boxes and amps any more, the 312a has pro-system performance, far in excess of what you would expect from a plastic box PA.
The 350W RMS Art 312a is great as a stand alone portable rig or as part of a bigger system supported by powered subs. The titanium top end gives this system real fizz but still balances up with the bottom end from the high excursion 12” driver. If you have a growing mobile DJ business doing lots of different show, you can't go wrong with the 312a.
Optional infrared remote control means you can control your boxes independently without moving from the DJ console. Three preset EQ settings give you auto EQ boost for recorded music with extended bass and top end, flat music mix and voice.
Not just for mobile DJ party or small to medium size venue playback. The 312a is great for:
For Sound Engineers
The Art 312a is an excellent general-purpose powered speaker system. The lightweight internal 360W bi-amp digitally controlled amplifier can be controlled by an optional infrared remote control which is handy for speakers installed in hard to get to locations (such as delay speakers).

* A note on claimed Vs actual power figures quoted by speaker manufacturers. RMS measurements are the official standard used in measuring Pro-audio power. 100 watts RMS is equal to 200 Watts “music” power and 400 watts peak power. When music companies quote power figures on their speakers they often quote music power to make their products look better – i.e. a 450-watt music power speaker is only really a 225 watt RMS speaker. RCF only quotes power figures in accordance with pro-audio IEC standards.
