For Performers
The 15” speaker and 2” neodymium horn in the Art 325a are a powerful and high output combination. The Art 325a has less ‘rounded bass' than the 322a, but the extra cone area in a small enclosure gives it reduced mid-range and a lift at 100 Hz, that when put with a 15” or 18” sub bass, results in more punch and throw.
Getting good fold-back is difficult and most FOH boxes need a lot of EQ to work well as fold-back monitors. The natural increase in bass you get with the 325a on the floor just happens to boost the bass frequencies in exactly the right place to give you more bottom end without ‘muddying’ the vocals. The 2” horn and 15” internal processing EQ profile allow this box to cut through a wall of Marshall's.
This box works well as a stand alone, but it really comes into its own when you pair it up with a high output sub bass system.
It is heavier than the Art 322a, but at 24 Kg you don't need to book the load-in crew.
For the lazy, the Art 325a comes with an optional infrared remote control.
The Art 325a is a little more specialised but it will still cover a wide variety of gig environments such as;
For DJ's
If the Art 322a is the ‘pro-utility speaker good for every kind of DJ gig’, then the 325a is a little more specialised.

It is really suited to the DJ doing bigger gigs that will often want to run sub bass boxes.
For Sound Engineers
If the Art 322a is the “pro-utility-good-for-everything box”, the 325a is a little more specialised. The 15” speaker and 2” neodymium horn in the Art 325a are a powerful and high output combination. It also works well as a high output fold-back wedge. The natural increase in bass you get with the 325a on the floor just happens to boost the bass frequencies in exactly the right place to give you more bottom end without ‘muddying’ the vocals. The 2” horn and 15” internal processing EQ profile allow this box to cut through a noisy stage.
When used with an additional 18” sub, The Art 325a will replace a big pile of old fashioned pub band PA or be the “drum-fill of doom!” And it comes with an optional infrared remote control.
The choice between the 322a and 325a will be a combination of sonic taste and the operator's technical needs. The Art 325a is a little more specialised but it will excel in a wide variety of production environments such as:
* A note on claimed Vs actual power figures quoted by speaker manufacturers. RMS measurements are the official standard used in measuring Pro-audio power. 100 watts RMS is equal to 200 Watts “music” power and 400 watts peak power. When music companies quote power figures on their speakers they often quote music power to make their products look better – i.e. a 450-watt music power speaker is only really a 225 watt RMS speaker. RCF only quotes power figures in accordance with pro-audio IEC standards.
