For Performers
Remember the old days of big heavy speaker boxes stacked up on pub tables? Cumbersome, took forever to set up and sounded #~@*! These days a pair of high powered compact boxes with good powered subs are all over them for ease of set up, sonic quality and transport space.
The Art 705AS is 800W of smooth bass with the sound of the big box PA, without the hassle.
The 800W RMS amplifier, internal crossovers and digital processing birch ply box system give you the sound of a high production value show and the bolt-on wheel boards and transit covers make for an easy packup and getaway.
For DJ's
What was that 80s disco song? ‘Boom-boom-boom, get some bass in my room?’ Most small sub bass boxes just go ‘thud’. You start pushing them and they turn to mud, not punchy low bass. The 705AS is a 15” speaker with an internal 800W RMS amplifier, internal crossovers and digital processing in a birch ply box (sounds like a Macca's advert) that gets as much bass as technology can currently get out of a small enclosure.
It will take L&R inputs, and you can select 3 different x-over frequencies and also connect any powered box to it for cross-over and phase control. For the sore backs among us you can attach a wheel board to the back for easy transport. Pretty clever really.
Put it under any powered box PA system and you will improve it considerably.
For Sound Engineers
The Art 705 AS is the ideal compromise for that gig where 'we want more bass and don't want to see any speakers'. Small bass boxes generally produce a small amount of bass. That's physics and the only alternative is to spend vast quantities of money on very expensive hi-tech solutions.
The RCF Art 705 AS is a compact band-pass design powered by a class H, 800W self-processing amplifier - so you have an efficient design with a lot of power behind it. The result is very good performance from a sub bass that fits in a mid sized car without difficulty.
Built in switchable cross-overs mean you can control powered boxes for a multi-way PA system that is small, light and genuinely full bandwidth for a mid sized band, DJ or corporate show and sound like s real PA.
The RCF Art 705 as is ideal for;
* A note on claimed Vs actual power figures quoted by speaker manufacturers. RMS measurements are the official standard used in measuring Pro-audio power. 100 watts RMS is equal to 200 Watts “music” power and 400 watts peak power. When music companies quote power figures on their speakers they often quote music power to make their products look better – i.e. a 450-watt music power speaker is only really a 225 watt RMS speaker. RCF only quotes power figures in accordance with pro-audio IEC standards.
